An individual who experiences abdominal pain, unintentional weight loss, diminished appetite, fever, nausea, or jaundice (yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes) should contact a doctor. The only known cure is surgical removal of the gallbladder, if the cancer has not yet spread to other organs.<\/p>\n
This is an uncommon type of cancer that primarily affects older individuals. While it’s often associated with gallstones, it affects only a very small percentage of individuals who have gallstones.<\/p>\n
Gallbladder cancer may result in symptoms like jaundice and abdominal tenderness, though it can sometimes occur without any noticeable symptoms.<\/p>\n
This type of cancer is typically identified through ultrasound scanning. The primary treatment is the surgical removal of the tumor. However, if the cancer has already metastasized to the liver by the time it’s diagnosed, the prognosis is generally unfavorable.<\/p>\n
