The subjective visual sensation of lightning-like flashes at the time of eye movements, especially noticeable in dim or absent light. They are usually vertical and on the lateral part of the visual field. The flashes are accompanied by or followed by dark spots before the eyes. This condition is not related to significant eye disease.<\/p>\n
