A member of the American Naturopathic Association and a licensed osteopath, Drown treated patients from her radio room in Los Angeles by a process that she called Drown Radio Therapy. She used an electronic machine of her own devising to diagnose patients from samples of their blood kept on blotting paper. The sample was then placed in another machine and tuned to the patient, then healing radiation was transmitted to him or her wherever he or she was, over thousands of miles, if necessary. A detailed explanation and justification of Drown\u2019s system is given in her books, The Science and Philosophy of the Drown Radio Therapy (1938), The Theory and Technique of the Drown Radio Therapy and Radio Vision Instruments (1939), and Wisdom from Atlantis (1946).<\/p>\n
Dr. Drown made great claims for the success of her diagnosis and treatment and also claimed to be able, using equipment that she had invented, to obtain radio photographs of internal organs and to transmit radiation that stopped bleeding. Not only did she have many patients convinced of the efficacy of her treatment but she also sold her machines to other practitioners.<\/p>\n
