Hypohidrosis refers to decreased activity of the sweat glands. It is a prominent feature of hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia, a rare inherited condition that cannot be cured. This disorder is characterized by reduced sweating and is accompanied by dry, wrinkled skin, sparse hair, small and brittle nails, as well as conical teeth. Other causes of hypohidrosis may include exfoliative dermatitis and certain anticholinergic drugs.<\/p>\n
