Megaloblasts are unusually large and their nuclei fail to mature in the normal way; they are seen in the bone marrow in certain anemias (megaloblastic anemias) due to deficiency of vitamin B12 or folic acid.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>A large, nucleated, abnormal red blood cell, from 11 to 20 yam in diameter, oval and slightly irregular.
