The translucent layer consists of a thin polyester plastic material measuring approximately 0.2mm (equivalent to 8 mils or 0.008 inches) in thickness. Typically, this material is imbued with a tint of blue-violet or green, rendering it sensitive to those hues. The foundation of the sheet contains a coating of silver bromide crystals on both of its surfaces.
