Zirconia. White crystalline oxide of zirconium occurring in nature as the mineral baddeleyite. It is an amorphous, odorless, tasteless powder or crystalline solid, used as an opaquing agent for dental porcelain, and other ceramic processes. In implant dentistry, it is used for the fabrication of all‐ceramic abutments, substructures of fixed partial dentures, crown copings, and dental implants.
