Twitch

A small movement of a muscle in the face or hands.

Involuntary movement of a muscle that produces a small, spasm like jerk. Twitching can appear as restless legs, a tic (in the face, neck, or shoulders, including the throat and voice), or elsewhere in the body. A twitch can be a symptom of a nerve disorder, but occasional twitching is normal in healthy people.

A single contraction of one muscle fiber in response to one nerve impulse.
