An antiseptic applied topically as a cream, powder, or solution in the treatment of various fungal infections of the skin, including ringworm. It is not effective in candidiasis.
A skin-applied antifungal medication used to treat and occasionally prevent recurring tinea infections, such as athlete’s foot. In rare instances, tolnaftate might lead to skin irritation or a rash.
