A benign and typically painless swelling can occur in the epididymis, which is the coiled tube located at the back of the testis. Small cysts are quite common in men over the age of 40 and usually require no treatment. However, in rare instances, they may grow larger or become tender, causing discomfort. In such cases, surgical removal of the cysts might be necessary.
