Eulenburg’s disease, also known as congenital paramyotonia, is a rare, inherited disorder characterized by prolonged muscle fiber contractions when the affected individual is exposed to cold temperatures. It can affect muscles in the limbs, eyelids, and tongue. The condition follows an autosomal dominant pattern of inheritance and may be linked to a disorder of potassium metabolism.
