A clinical situation where fungus has been attributed to an established infection or lesion.


Pertaining to a mycosis; caused by fungi.


Caused by or infected with fungus; concerning mycosis. The term is also used improperly to signify a bacterial infection, especially one that has metastasized from one part of the body (e.g., a heart valve) to another (e.g., the wall of a blood vessel).
