Nodule

A small, solid collection of tissue. Similar to a papule, but greater than either 5 mm or 10 mm in both width or depth.


Small knob on a root containing nitrogen-fixing bacteria;


Small swellings on a leaf (petiole, midrib, lamina or margin) that contain bacteria.


A small node that can be detected by touch, e.g., lymph nodes.


The anterior part of the inferior vermis.


A small lymph node; small circumscribed swelling.


A solid bump larger than 1 cm (0.4″) that can be easily felt.


A firm region or tangle occasionally linked with infection.


A tiny tissue mass. A nodule might emerge above the skin’s outer layer or develop beneath it. These nodules can exhibit varying degrees of hardness or softness.
