Molars

The teeth used to grind food located posterior to the bicuspids. Also called first and second molars or 6-and 12-year molars. Wisdom teeth located in the far most posterior part of the mouth are the third molars.

Tooth, located in the back of the mouth, used for grinding food. There are usually three molars on each side of the jaw. The first two are present m most individuals while the backmost (wisdom tooth) may or may not break through the gum line.

A molar is a tooth designed for grinding. Each jaw has three of these large, double-rooted teeth on either side.
