Radiodensity

The relatively opaque white appearance of dense materials or substances on radiographic imaging studies.

In radiology, the ability of a substance to absorb X rays. The more radiodense (radiopaque) a material, the more X rays it absorbs. Put another way, the higher the radiodensity, the fewer X rays are able to penetrate a substance.

The impenetrability of a substance or tissue by x-rays.
