Mask

A metal and rubber frame that fits over the nose and mouth and is used to administer an anaesthetic.

A device that covers the nose and mouth to enable inhalation anaesthetics or other gases such as oxygen to be administered. It is also a covering for the nose and mouth of surgeons and nurses to ensure that antiseptic conditions are maintained during surgery, when dressing a wound or nursing a patient in conditions of isolation. The term mask is also applied to the expressionless appearance that occurs in certain disorders for example, in parkinsonism.


Concentrated treatment products often composed of mineral clays, moisturizing agents, skin softeners, aromatherapy oils, beneficial extracts, and other beneficial ingredients to cleanse, exfoliate, tighten, tone, hydrate, and nourish the skin.


The act of completely coating a dish or food item with a thick sauce, jelly, mayonnaise, or similar condiment.
