Experts in this field address issues such as laws related to medical negligence or malpractice damages; evidence of injury severity in civil cases; paternity testing; assessing the mental competence of individuals making wills; and regulations concerning the mentally ill.


Medicolegal topics also encompass a person’s right to die, the need for informed consent for surgeries, legal considerations of artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization, sterilization, and surrogacy, as well as a patient’s right to privacy about their medical condition.
