Radial reflex

A jerk made by the forearm when the insertion in the radius of one of the muscles, the brachioradialis, is hit.

Flexion of the forearm (and sometimes also of the fingers) that occurs when the lower end of the radius is tapped. It is due to contraction of the brachioradialis muscle, which is stimulated by tapping its point of insertion in the radius.

Flexion of forearm resulting when the lower end of the radius is percussed.
