  • Keratosis follicularis

    A seldom-seen inherited disorder distinguished by the presence of horny growths that appear in and around hair follicles. These growths are firmly attached and result in a coarse texture of the skin. It’s also referred to as Darier’s disease.  

  • Keratosis blennorrhagica

    A medical condition marked by the development of horny growths, primarily on the hands and feet, which occurs in the course of gonorrhea.  

  • Keratosis arsenical

    An irregular thickening of the skin that develops after prolonged consumption of arsenic.

  • Kniest syndrome

    A procedure where a damaged knee joint is replaced with an artificial one, typically made from metal or plastic. This knee replacement surgery is often performed on older individuals suffering from severe osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis.  

  • Klippel–Fiel syndrome

    This condition is defined by an unusually short neck resulting from fused cervical vertebrae. Those affected experience limited neck mobility and possess a low-set hairline. When the tendon below the kneecap, or patella, is tapped, an automatic reaction called the patellar reflex occurs. This causes the thigh muscles to contract and straighten the knee.
