Kinetochores
Large multiprotein complexes that bind the centromeres of the chromosomes to the microtubules of the mitotic spindle during metaphase in the cell cycle. A protein disk attached to the DNA of the centromere that connects a pair of chromatids during cell division. A spindle fiber is in turn attached to the kinetochore.

Killer cells
Lymphocyte-like effector cells which mediate antibody-dependent cell cytotoxicity. They kill antibody-coated target cells which they bind with their Fc receptors.
