Epithelioma

A usually benign skin disease most commonly occurring on the face, around the eyelids and on the scalp.

A neoplasm of epithelial origin.

A tumour arising from epithelial cells.

A tumor of epithelium, the  covering of internal and external surfaces of the body: a former term for carcinoma, but now also used to describe benign tumors.

Epithelioma is a tumour of malignant nature arising in the epithelium covering the surface of the body.

A malignant tumor consisting principally of epithelial cells; a carcinoma. A tumor originating in the epidermis of the skin or in a mucous membrane.

An epithelioma is a benign growth that originates from the epithelium, the layer of tissue that covers the body’s external surface and forms the protective lining of internal organs. However, in certain situations, this noncancerous tumor has the potential to transform into a malignant form, at which point it is referred to as a carcinoma.
