Exotropia

A kind of strabismus in which the crossed eye is turned away from the nose.


Outward turning of the eyeball.


A type of crossed eyes (strabismus), in which one or both eyes may turn outward. Exotropia may produce double vision or other types of vision impairment.


Divergent strabismus; abnormal turning out ward of one or both eyes.


This term refers to a condition also known as a divergent squint. In this condition, one eye is utilized for detailed vision while the other eye is oriented outward.
