Glucosuria

Abnormal presence of glucose in the urine, resulting from ingestion of large amounts of carbohydrates, kidney disease, diabetes, mellitus, or other metabolic disorder.


The occurrence of glucose in the urine, which could either signal diabetes or simply be a unique trait of the kidney that causes it to release glucose into the urine. In the latter case, it is not necessarily indicative of an illness.
