Kaposi’s varicelliform eruption

A widespread and severe skin outbreak characterized by blistering filled with pus, resulting from a viral infection in regions of existing atopic dermatitis. This condition is also referred to as eczema herpeticum. The typical culprits for this condition are herpes simplex viruses (HSV-1 and HSV-2) as well as coxsackievirus.
