Kidneys

The consumption of kidneys from various animals is a common practice, ranging from the diminutive organs of rabbits and hares to the substantial kidneys of beef. Like other meat products, kidneys are a notable source of protein and contain substantial amounts of iron, as well as a plethora of other minerals, vitamin A, and niacin.

Either of the two kidney organs located in the lower back region, responsible for filtering the blood and eliminating the waste products of the body’s metabolic processes through the production of urine. Additionally, they play a crucial role in maintaining the appropriate levels of hydrogen, sodium, potassium, phosphate, and other ions in the body.

The two kidney organs, positioned beneath the ribcage towards the center of the back, perform vital functions such as blood purification, regulation of acid levels, and maintenance of water equilibrium in the body by producing urine.
