Kirschwasser or kirsch

The strong alcoholic beverage that is produced through the process of distilling fermented cherry juice is commonly known as “Kirsch”. This type of liquor was originally crafted in Germany, specifically within the Black Forest region, but is now produced in other parts of Europe as well, including Switzerland.

Originating from Germany and Switzerland, this liqueur is colorless and manufactured using black cherries. The unique flavor of this beverage is derived from the crushed pits of the fruit, while glucose is included for sweetening purposes. Kirsch is a fantastic addition to fruit salads and desserts.
