To press, stretch and fold dough or similar mixture to make it smooth. Kneading should make bread elastic and fondant smooth and glossy.


The process of utilizing the palms and heels of one’s hands to work and manipulate a given substance, gradually turning over a small portion of it after each outward push, is commonly referred to as “kneading”. This technique is frequently applied in the preparation of bread dough.
