Malleolus

One of two bony prominences at each side of the ankle.

Malleoli, bumplike projection on a bone, as on the inner and outer sides of the ankle.

Rounded distal projections of the distal tibia and fibula that comprise the ankle.

Either of the two protuberances on each side of the ankle: the lateral malleolus at the lower end of the fibula or the medial malleolus at the lower end of the tibia.

The protuberance on both sides of the ankle joint; the lower extremity of the fibula is the lateral malleolus and lower end of the tibia is the medial malleolus.

A rounded bone protrusion situated on either side of the ankle joint. The inner one is known as the internal malleolus, and it’s the end of the tibia, while the outer one is called the lateral malleolus and marks the end of the fibula.
