This procedure has been suggested with regard to organ donation, since it has been found that most adults have not really considered whether or not they want to make their organs available for donation. Furthermore, a study has found that a much higher percentage of adults would donate, if they were personally faced with the decision, than the percentage when the decision is made by the next of kin or the family.
