Oil of wintergreen; a liquid used as a counterirritant and pain reliever, applied externally for minor muscle and joint pain. Adverse effects include skin reactions.
Also called oil of Wintergreen, the liquid has analgesic and counter-irritant properties. Rubbed into the skin, the oil helps to relieve pain in lumbago, sciatica and ‘rheumatic conditions.
