Miliary

Small in size, like a seed.


Describing or characterized by very small nodules or lesions, resembling millet seed.


A term, expressing size, applied to various disease products which are about the size of millet seeds: for example, miliary aneurysms, miliary tuberculosis.


A descriptive phrase used to describe conditions where the lesions are approximately the size of millet seeds, ranging from half a millimeter to one millimeter. For instance, in miliary tuberculosis, a form of tuberculosis transmitted through the bloodstream, small lesions appear in various parts of the body.
