Mind

Pertaining to the brain.

The part of the brain which controls memory, consciousness or reasoning.

The seat of consciousness of the human brain. The mind understands, reasons and initiates action and is also the source of emotions. This is a simplistic definition for a concept that has been and continues to be the subject of vigorous debate among theologians, philosophers, biologists, psychologists, psychiatrists and other doctors; these arguments are too complex for inclusion in a dictionary’s definition.

Psyche; integration and organization of functions of the brain resulting in the ability to perceive surroundings, to have emotions, imagination, memory, and will, and to process information in an intelligent manner. The quality and quantity of the functions of the mind vary with experience and development.

Human consciousness represented by the brain’s cognitions, perceptions, memory, and feelings.
