Molarity

The strength of a solution shown as the number of moles of a substance per litre of solution.

The strength of a solution, expressed as the weight of dissolved substance in grams per liter divided by its molecular weight, i.e. the number of moles per liter. Molarity is indicated as 0.1 M, 1 M, 2 M, etc.

The number of gram molecular mass (moles) of a substance per liter of solution. Thus 1/M (also expressed as 1 M) means 1 mole of a substance per liter, and 0.1/M indicates 0.1 mole/L.
