Monosomy

A condition in which a person has a chromosome missing from one or more pairs.


Chromosomal abnormality characterized by the absence of one chromosome from the normal diploid number for the species.


A condition in which there is one chromosome missing from the normal (diploid) set.


Condition of having only one of a pair of chromosomes, as in Turner’s syndrome, in which there is one X chromosome rather than the normal pair.
