Motilin

A gastrointestinal hormone that plays a role in controlling the motility of the small intestine during periods without food.


A hormone formed in the duodenum and the jejunum which plays a part in controlling the movements of the stomach and the gut.


A polypeptide that stimulates and controls contractions of the gastrointestinal tract. It is secreted by the mucosa of the small intestine.
