Muscle coat of the womb.

The muscular tissue in the uterus.

Muscular layer of the uterine wall, surrounding the endometrium; it is made up of smooth muscle that has small, spontaneous contractions during certain phases of the menstrual cycle and during pregnancy in response to the hormones estrogen, progesterone, and oxytocin.

The muscular tissue of the uterus (womb), which surrounds the endometrium. It is composed of smooth muscle that undergoes small regular spontaneous contractions. The frequency and amplitude of these contractions alter in response to the hormones estrogen, progesterone, and oxytocin, which are present at particular stages of the menstrual cycle and pregnancy.

The smooth muscle layer of the uterine wall, forming the main mass of the uterus.

The uterine muscular wall, known as the myometrium, is made up of smooth muscle and is coated with the endometrium. During childbirth, the myometrium contracts vigorously to widen the cervix and propel the fetus (along with the placenta) out of the uterus. Additionally, it experiences gentler contractions during menstrual cycles, aiding in the expulsion of blood and tissue.
