Nadolol

Beta blocking agent used to treat hypertension and angina. Adverse effects include cardiac arrhythmias, gastrointestinal disturbances, and allergic reactions.

Nadolol is a beta-blocker medication employed in managing hypertension (high blood pressure), angina pectoris (chest pain arising from inadequate blood flow to the heart muscle), and specific forms of arrhythmia (irregular heartbeats). Additionally, nadolol is utilized to regulate symptoms associated with hyperthyroidism (excessive thyroid gland activity).

The potential adverse effects align with those commonly observed in other beta-blocker medications. These effects encompass a decline in the patient’s ability to engage in vigorous physical activity and exacerbation of pre-existing symptoms related to lung disease and peripheral vascular disease.
