Naproxen

A drug which reduces inflammation and pain, used in the treatment of arthritis.


Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent used in the treatment of arthritis, musculoskeletal inflammation, and moderate pain. Adverse effects include headache, dizziness, gastrointestinal disturbances, and skin eruptions; the drug interacts with many others.


An analgesic drug that also reduces inflammation and fever. It is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and gout. It is administered by mouth; side-effects may include digestive upsets and rashes.


A propionic acid, administered orally to relieve mild to moderate pain, dysmenorrhea, fever, and inflammatory disorders, including rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Its therapeutic classes are nonopioid analgesic, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent, and antipyretic.


A pain reliever that also reduces swelling and that can be obtained without a doctor’s prescription; a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug.


Naproxen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), is employed to alleviate joint pain and reduce stiffness caused by arthritis, including juvenile arthritis. Additionally, it is prescribed to facilitate the healing process after soft tissue injuries, such as muscles or ligaments.


Possible adverse effects of naproxen can encompass feelings of nausea, abdominal discomfort, and the development of peptic ulcers.
