Neurogenic bladder

A disturbance of the bladder function caused by lesions in the nerve supply to the bladder.


Urinary bladder that functions abnormally because of a nervous system lesion.


Urinary bladder dysfunction including incomplete emptying, urinary retention, and frequent infection resulting from impaired nervous system functioning.


Any dysfunction of the urinary bladder caused by lesions of the central nervous system or nerves supplying the bladder.


Bladder dysfunction associated with neurologic malfunction in the spinal cord and characterized by a failure to empty, failure to store, or a combination of the two. Symptoms that result from these three types of dysfunction include urinary urgency, frequency, hesitancy, nocturia, and incontinence.
