Nicorandil

Nicorandil, a medication that activates potassium channels, finds application in preventing and managing angina pectoris—chest pain resulting from insufficient blood flow to the heart. The side effects of nicorandil, such as flushing, nausea, vomiting, and dizziness, primarily stem from its capacity to dilate blood vessels, and they tend to diminish with ongoing treatment. In rare instances, mouth ulcers and muscle discomfort may arise.
