Nitrate drugs

A category of vasodilator medications employed to manage or avert instances of angina pectoris (chest pain resulting from insufficient blood flow to the heart) and to address severe heart failure (characterized by decreased pumping efficiency).

Potential adverse effects associated with nitrate medications encompass headaches, skin flushing, and dizziness. With certain nitrate drugs, tolerance can develop over time, necessitating higher doses to achieve the same effects. To prevent this, adjustments to the dosage, frequency, or timing of the medication may be necessary. Alternatively, switching to a different nitrate drug might be recommended.
