Normocytic anaemia

Any type of anemia where the level of hemoglobin (the pigment that carries oxygen) in the bloodstream diminishes due to a decrease in the overall count of red blood cells, while the size and hemoglobin content of each individual cell remain normal. Normocytic anemia can emerge from chronic illnesses like renal failure or chronic inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, or due to issues within the bone marrow.
