A fully differentiated cell that functions in the formation of bone tissue. Osteoblasts synthesize the collagen and glycoproteins that form the bone matrix, and also produce inorganic salts. With growth, they develop into osteocytes.

A mononucleate cell that is responsible for bone formation.

An immature bone-producing cell.

Bone cells that cause the deposition of bone tissue (bone-forming cells).

A cell in an embryo which forms bone.

Cell that functions in the formation of bone tissue.

Mesodermal cells capable of producing new bone tissue.

A cell, originating in the mesoderm of the embryo, that is responsible for the formation of bone.

A cell derived from mesenchymal cells. It manufactures bone matrix.

An osteoblast is a specific type of bone cell that plays a crucial role in the process of bone formation. As individuals age, the quantity of osteoblasts present in their body tends to decline.
