Osteoblastoma

Benign tumor of bone and fibrous tissue, occurring in the vertebrae, femur, tibia, or arm bones, especially in young adults. Symptoms include pain and resorption of normal bone tissue. Treatment is by surgical excision.


A large, benign tumor of osteoblasts in a patchy osteoid matrix. It occurs mostly in the vertebral columns of young people.


An aching, benign bone tumor characterized by the creation of osteoid tissue and rudimentary bone. Osteoblastomas are most frequently found in the spine of young individuals.
