OsteoGen

Proprietary product name for an osteoconductive, nonceramic, synthetic hydroxyapatite that is a bioactive, resorbable graft material used for contouring defects of the alveolar ridge. As new bone is formed, it is resorbed over 6–8 months. It is composed of a mixture of calcium phosphates.


A tissue layer of the inner periosteal layer from which bone is formed.
