The part of the thalamus comprising a portion of the posterior nuclei. It projects posteriorly and medially, partially overlying the midbrain.

A form of cardiac arrest in which the continuation of organized electrical activity in the heart is not accompanied by a palpable pulse or effective circulation of blood.
