  • Pseudomenstruation

    Bleeding from the uterus not accompanied by the usual changes in the endometrium.  

  • Pseudomeningitis

    A condition resembling the symptoms of meningitis without the meningeal inflammation.  

  • Pseudomelanosis

    Discoloration of the tissues after death. The post-mortem discoloration of body tissues caused by blood pigments.  

  • Pseudomania

    A psychosis in which patients falsely accuse themselves of crimes that they think they have committed.  

  • Pseudologia

    Falsification in writing or in speech, a form of pathological lying.  

  • Pseudojaundice

    Pigment in the skin, such as in carotenemia, that resembles jaundice, but is not due to elevated serum bilirubin levels.  

  • Pseudoisochromatic

    Seemingly of the same color; colors used in charts testing for color blindness.  

  • Pseudohypocalcemia

    False hypocalcemia; that is, low serum calcium levels that result either from low albumin levels or from the administration of some magnetic resonance imaging agents containing gadolinium.  

  • Pseudohypertension

    The observation of elevated blood pressure when taken by conventional means (i.e., sphygmomanometer), that is in reality not elevated when compared with the actual pressure in the artery when determined by more accurate methods.     Inflammation in the scrotal area resembling a hernia. An inflamed hernia sac that resembles a strangulated hernia.
