  • Eradicate

    To remove something completely. To utterly eradicate something is to eliminate it entirely, bringing an end to its existence.  

  • Equipment

    Apparatus or tools which are required to do something.  

  • Epituberculosis

    Swelling of the lymph node in the thorax, due to tuberculosis. Enlargement of a lymph node in the thorax due to tuberculosis infection, causing the gland to press upon and occlude a bronchial tube, which may result in the collapse of a lung segment.  

  • Epispadias

    A congenital condition where the urethra opens on the top of the penis and not at the end. A congenital defect similar to hypospadias, in which a male’s urethra opens on the upper side of his penis, rather than at its head.   • Episodic

    Happening in separate but related incidents, e.g. asthma which occurs in separate attacks.  

  • Episode

    A separate occurrence of an illness. A series of events which is distinct in itself. For example, a period of fever which disappears may be an episode of fever within a continuous process, such as a chronic illness. An occurrence that is one in a sequence of events.  

  • Episiorrhaphy

    A procedure for stitching torn labia majora. Stitching together the margins of a tear in the tissues around the vaginal opening.  

  • Episcleritis

    Inflammation of the outer surface of the sclera in the eyeball. Inflammation of the sclera (the white of the eye) and overlying tissues. Inflammation of one of the outer layers of the eyeball. The episclera lies between the sclera (the white, fibrous, covering of the eye) and the conjunctiva (the outer mucous membrane). Episcleritis can…

  • Epiplocele

    A hernia containing part of the omentum.
