Any disease or disorder of the glands. General term for a disease of the glands, the lymph glands. Any disease of a gland or of glandular tissue.

The hardening of a gland.

Adenomyoma
A benign tumour made up of glands and muscle. Tumor containing glandular and smooth muscular tissue. A lump consisting of both muscle and glandular tissue.

Adenoma sebaceum
A skin condition of the face shown by raised red vascular bumps appearing in late childhood or early adolescence.

Adenolymphoma
A benign tumour of the salivary glands.

Adenoid vegetation
A condition in children where the adenoidal tissue is covered with growths and can block the nasal passages or the Eustachian tubes. Fungus-like masses of lymphoid tissue in the nasopharynx.

Adenoidal expression
A common symptom of a child suffering from adenoids, where his or her mouth is always open, the nose is narrow and the top teeth appear to project forward.

Referring to a body part brought towards the middle of the body.
