  • Citrobacter freundii

A type of gram-negative, facultatively anaerobic, rod-shaped bacteria capable of using citrate as its sole carbon source. This species is resistant to potassium cyanide and can be found in soil, water, sewage, and food, as well as in clinical samples from healthy individuals, sometimes acting as an opportunistic pathogen.

  • Chronotrophic

Influencing the timing or rate, such as the rate of heart contractions.

  • Chloretic

A substance that increases bile flow.

  • Bombyx mori

The silkworm, widely utilized in experimental genetics.

  • Biotinylated

    Molecules embedded with biotin groups.

  • Beta-hexosaminidase

This enzyme is named after the specific amino sugars and linkages it targets as potential substrates.

  • Bacteroides vulgatus

This bacterial species is commonly found in fecal samples and has occasionally been identified in human infections.

  • Bacteroides melaninogenicus

A saccharolytic, coccoid species sensitive to bile, this organism is known for producing a black hematin pigment. It is a natural component of the normal flora found in mucous membranes. Additionally, it plays a significant role as a pathogen in oral, lung, and brain abscesses, and is frequently involved in various mixed infections.

  • Bacteroides fragalis

A collection of saccharolytic microorganisms, known for their notable resistance to bile, predominantly populates the human intestine, making it the most frequently encountered anaerobic bacteria in clinical samples. These organisms are naturally found in the mouth, throat, and vaginal tract. Remarkably, they exhibit a higher level of antibiotic resistance compared to other anaerobic species.

  • Arthralgic

Relating to or involving pain in a joint. This term describes a condition or symptom where discomfort, ache, or soreness is experienced in the areas where two bones meet, such as knees, elbows, hips, or shoulders.
